My friends and I stayed here for a college reunion and it was perfect! We loved the close location to the beach as well as walking down to the village.

Siesta Key staff

Our stay on the beach in Siesta Key was wonderful. We loved having direct access to the beach. The beach chairs, towels, and wagon were all excellent additions we weren’t expecting. The house was clean and just as the pictures depicted and the site described. Host was very responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. Would recommend this place for families or adults wanting a great getaway within walking distance from the lively downtown Siesta Kay village where parking can be slim.

The communication was excellent. The home is nicely decorated and was very clean. A fantastic location! And, the path to the beach made it very convenient and you could hear the waves in the back bedroom if the door was open. Great place!!

Dreamy beachfront cottage! Can’t beat the location, quick stroll down a well groomed private trail to pristine beaches. They had a wagon, umbrella, and several beach chairs available for use as well. Very private with a beautiful view, to be able to walk a few steps to see the stunning was absolutely worth it. We have stayed in various vacation rentals over the years but to have the privacy and location, this was our favorite. Quick 10-15min walk to the village to shop or eat. Loved The Cottage and Gabbianos. We walked a few minutes to Siesta Beach for the Sunday night drum circle which was fun. Plenty of towels, great to have the washer and dryer. My mom and two girls under 4 had a great week playing at the beach and enjoying nearby museums, parks, and islands. The host had great communication and it was easy to get questions answered, they even accommodated a pack and play for my youngest which fit perfectly in the nook of the master suite. This is truly a hidden gem and we are so fortunate to have stayed here to make wonderful memories. Would love to come again.

Siesta Key staff

Coastal Cottage is a small, older home on Siesta Key, about a 3.5-block walk to shops and restaurants. The beach is a short three-minute walk and is excellent, with nightly sunset gatherings.
The interior is decorated in a casual, bohemian beach style. Beds are comfortable, and there are great ocean views from the rear porch. Kitchen and appliances are updated, however, there is no traditional stove—only a microwave/convection unit.
This is a very old structure. Floors are noticeably uneven throughout, and some doors do not fully close due out-of-square frames. The primary bedroom is detached from the main living area and accessed via a screened porch, which provides privacy but requires going outdoors to access. Guests expecting modern construction or amenities like bathroom fans or a garbage disposal may be disappointed..
Property management was excellent—responsive, proactive, and quick to resolve. Renters should be comfortable with age-related quirks and limitations.

Hidden gem. Short walk to the beach. Lanai with grill was great. Separate master suite great for families with older kids! Definitely would stay here again.

It was obvious that the area and the cottage had been through the hurricane rain. It was missing things other airbnbs have-for example, no iron or ironing board, no starter for coffee, no explanation for where the third bedroom was.
The doors in the jack and Jill beds/bath did not close due to a major crack in the wall. The front door mat was always soaking wet and it did not rain, the master bedroom blind was ripped and therefore was not private, and the path to the beach was unavailable unless we used the neighbors. We did use that one but it was hard to navigate with the pipes and bricks that were impeding the walkway. The place has some potential but needs some attention for sure.

The location is perfect!! House was clean and inviting. It was wonderful to see the ocean each morning while drinking coffee. Being able to walk to the beach from the patio was such a treat. The management team was professional, helpful and considerate. Would recommend and hope to return

Beachfront view with a private beach. Spent four fabulous days on the beach with amenities provided. This is an almost one hundred year old home so keep in mind that it has some quirks. However, it has withstood three hurricanes in the past year along with all the weather from the past ninety years. Has everything one needs. Location is great. Walked to Siesta Village one evening. Management is at hand if needed.

Loved our 3 night stay in this 100 year old cottage! We were just steps from public access to the beach and trolley that takes you into Siesta Key, which is full of restaurants, shops and bars and lots of activities too.
The cottage itself has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a wonderful screened in lanai. While we only used the kitchen to make cofee and keep the wine cold, it is fully stocked and ready for whatever you picked up from Morton's market that day to cook.
For 100 years old she has some wear and tear, but hey who doesn't? And while you could enjoy you entire stay inside the cottage, why would you when there is so much out there just a stones throw away.
We will be back!
